Starting May 20,Ruritan Founder’s Day Weekend will be held in the Holland community. The Chuckatuck Ruritan Club will be represented in the parade,so please come out and support us and particpate in the festivities. On Saturday,the fun begins at 9:00 a.m. and the parade starts at 11:00 a.m. More details can be found here. On April 13th,2011,the Chuckatuck Ruritan Club will hold its 35th Annual Oyster Roast. The event will be held at Story Landing,starting at 4:00 p.m. The club will be serving roasted oysters,clam chowder and beverages. You must purchase your tickets in advance. Our annual Oyster Roast was a great success! We had a beautiful afternoon,excellent oysters,the finest clam chowder,and a huge crowd. Thanks to everyone for helping to make this event a great success. A special thanks to “Red Baron”for the photos. Enjoy! The Chuckatuck Ruritan Club is the third oldest,active club in Ruritans. Our club was chartered in 1930,which means we’ve celebrated 80 years of community service in our community. Chuckatuck is located in the northern part of the city of Suffolk. Our board of directors meet on the last Monday of each month at Wesley Chapel. |
